Calling OHCA Members to Action for the February Legislative Session
Oregon's long term care delivery system continues to be at real risk for Medicaid funding reductions in the wake of a lagging economic recovery and reduced state revenues. The fast-approaching February legislative session, scheduled for only 35 days, means OHCA lobbyists will need help from all members to advocate against proposed 16-19% cuts to Medicaid long term care reimbursement rates.

Medicare to Cut $3.87 Billion of Payments to Skilled Nursing Facilities in 2012
Medicare payments to skilled nursing facilities will be 11.1% lower starting Oct. 1 according to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.
Top Oregon nursing homes receive due
Twenty-six Oregon nursing homes have made a U.S. News & World Report list of top facilities. The news magazine rated some 15,000 facilities nationwide on health inspections, nursing staffing numbers and overall general quality of care.
