Avamere at Sandy Recognizes Earth Day

Celebrating Earth Day

Avamere at Sandy, an assisted living and memory care community in Sandy, Oregon, took time on April 22, 2021 to celebrate Earth Day.

Avamere at Sandy partnered with the Sandy Community Center & SOLVE to celebrate Earth Day. They invited resident families to spend some time with their loved ones and help clean up not only the community grounds, but the block as well.

The team held a BBQ lunch with Executive Director Aleksandr (Alex) Vinokurov as grill master on the back deck, which the resident Garden Club has been beautifying with lots of flowers.

“The day was a great success, much was accomplished while we came together to celebrate our earth! A big thank you to all who supported this endeavor,” noted Susan Leininger, Community Relations Director for Avamere at Sandy.
