This marks Avamere’s fourth consecutive year winning this award. Of the nine different categories, the journal awarded Avamere #8 in healthcare.
Several Avamere team members attended the ceremony to accept the award, including Bob Thomas, Donna Mueller, Kevin Tomlinson, Larry Lopardo, Michael Crooke, Mike Billings, Ron Odermott, and Ryan Haller.
“It is both humbling and gratifying to be included again in the Top 10 Most Admired Healthcare Organizations,” said Donna Mueller, Vice President of Strategy & Innovation. “It’s humbling to be in the company of so many cutting-edge organizations such as Legacy, OHSU, Providence, and the like. It’s gratifying because our 9,000 people are each and every day trying to do the right thing as we advance the care model for our community’s older adults.”
The award’s ceremony attracted almost 1,000 people, making it one of the biggest business events of the season. Of all the organizations who received awards, Chief Development Officer Ryan Haller said they each share three common themes: they demand excellence, have deep roots in the Pacific Northwest, and are mission-focused.
According to Haller, Avamere is the only organization in its category representing senior housing.
“We are proud of the accomplishments over 24 years and believe we are well set for the next quarter of a century to be the pacesetter in the western U.S. for senior housing,” Haller said.
He attributes winning this award to Avamere’s amazing team members.
“To receive this honor speaks volumes as having quality staff to love and serve our residences has never been more challenging in our industry,” Haller said. “We are who we are because of employees who helped us earn this honor.”
