As 2018 ends, we reflect on the great accomplishments within the Avamere Family of Companies. Here are a few of this year’s wins.
Avamere Family of Companies
We’re breaking down the silos! In November we announced our strategic plan to bring together the companies that make up our Family of Companies. As part of this change, we created six key priorities for the next three years and restructured our leadership teams.
“This is an exciting time for the Avamere Family of Companies,” states CEO Rick Miller. “With this new organizational structure, our company will be able to more effectively uphold our mission, core values, quality initiatives, growth, our level of care, and social responsibility.”

Participated in the Alzheimer’s Walk
Avamere Living participated in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s again this year, raising a grand total of $9,808. Our Portland teams had the second largest group in the walk and won second place in fundraising with a total of $8,630. The walks in Oregon and Southwest Washington made history by having the association’s first-ever million-dollar walk season since their beginnings 27 years ago.
We had 34 teams participate:
- 1 team in Roseburg, OR
- 1 team in Vancouver, WA
- 3 teams in Eugene, OR
- 5 teams in Medford, OR
- 24 teams in Portland, OR
While the walks take place between August and October, people can raise funds all year long. These funds are used to support Alzheimer’s programs and services in local communities as well as support research to finding a cure.
The association is always looking for volunteers to help plan and run the events. Visit their website to find out more.
Thank you to all our team members for participating in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s in your local communities!
