April started her nursing career after graduating from Pioneer Pacific in 2008. She’s been with Avamere for nearly 12 years.
April shared: “It’s my home away from home. I couldn’t imagine being anywhere else, everyone is family. I became a nurse because I enjoy taking care of the elderly and listening to their wisdom. I am a mom raising three teenage girls with my loving and supportive husband. I enjoy spending time on the lake with my family in the summer.”

Gail graduated from nursing school at Chemeketa Community College in 2015 and has been with Avamere for over four years.
Gail shared: “I was inspired to be a nurse because I enjoy teaching and felt a calling to make an impact on people’s lives. I live in Albany with five cats, one dog, and a pet rat. I enjoy the outdoors kayaking, camping, and gardening especially.”

Cara earned her education from the Institute of Technology and has worked at Avamere for five years.
Cara shared: “I started in healthcare as a caregiver when I was 21. I found that I loved helping people in ways that they needed. I expanded my knowledge slowly to becoming a nurse and found a job that I love. I live in Silverton with my daughter and husband and our dog named Sammie.”

Rachel graduated from Chemeketa Community College and has been with Avamere for five years.
Rachel shared: “My mother is a nurse, and I have other family members with medical background. I enjoy helping others. I love to be outdoors soaking up the sun.”
