Our Avamere family is full of compliance superheroes!

We celebrated Compliance Week 2019 big throughout the Avamere Family of Companies. Here’s a recap of our compliance-filled week.

1. We kicked off the week with a humorous video on what not to do when it comes to following company guidelines. Check it out!

2. We sent daily emails to our team with reminders about how to stay compliant. Focuses included our speak-up hotline, social media guidelines, and protecting patient and resident information.

3. We held a contest inviting our team members to dress up as or create their own compliance superhero.

4. We also asked people to nominate their own compliance hero, a team member who exemplifies the company core values and mission in everything they do.

Here are our compliance heroes:

Connie Ownby, Signature Healthcare at Home, Medford home health

“Connie is the office ‘go-to’ when there are any questions surrounding compliance. She has been with the company for 30 years and is extremely knowledgeable. She studies up and makes sure her knowledge is current and up-to-date.”

Infinity Rehab HR team

Every night before going home, I hear them check with each other to ensure all paperwork with employee information is collected and placed in the shred bin. Also, they make sure the file room is locked before leaving. It is obvious they take protecting sensitive information and compliance very seriously.

Luis Leonardo, the Stafford, maintenance

In the short time Luis has been here, he has already resolved multiple compliance issues related to repairs of the building. He was able to turn over four rooms in less than a week in order to ensure our marketing team can fill rooms in a timely manner. He found multiple safety hazards in the course of his repairs and immediately took the necessary steps to have them repaired quickly.

The first day on the job, Luis was getting work orders done instantly. He is willing to work with anyone who is willing to work with him. He is very kind and respectful and also has great humor.

Thank you to all our compliance heroes, as well as everyone in the Avamere Family of Companies, who work diligently every day to uphold our values and mission statement, to enhance the life of every person we serve.
