Leadership & team connection
In addition to this healthy start, CNAs and the rest of the staff receive guidance from a long-lasting team of leaders who have been with Avamere for many years.
Mike Schnabel, Administrator, has been with Avamere Transitional Care and Rehabilitation – Malley for 12 years. Daniella Johnson, Director of Nursing Services, has been with Avamere for 15 years. Several other leadership members have been around for 15-18 years, rounding out their strong team.
Daniella makes a point to personally meet with each of her nursing team members. She works alongside her team on the floor when they need help, coming in during different shifts.
“I do some rounds with them and talk with them,” Daniella shared. “When they see you, that builds trust with them.”
Daniella has been with Avamere since she was 22, starting as a charge nurse.
“It’s like my second home,” she said about Avamere. “I enjoy the staff and residents here and the bonds we share.”
Honesty & compassion as a CNA
Mike strongly believes in honesty, something he expects of his team and himself.
“Daniella and I are always honest with each other, good or bad,” Mike expressed.
Compassion and friendliness are important traits for Daniella in her nursing team.
