Avamere Health Services of Rogue Valley Issues Statement on COVID-19

Medford, Ore. – Avamere Health Services of Rogue Valley, a skilled nursing community in Jackson County in Medford, Oregon, has confirmed 51 active COVID-19 cases and one death in their facility. The data was reported on their parent company website, the Avamere Family of Companies.

“We are deeply saddened by the impact caused by this virulent enemy. Resident and patient safety has and always will be top priority at Avamere,” noted Dr. Elizabeth Burns, Chief Medical Offer for the Avamere Family of Companies. “Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends affected by this virus. Our community is offering resources and support to the family.”

Avamere Health Services of Rogue Valley is collaborating closely with the local medical community and the public health department during this difficult time. Staff continue to follow local, state, and federal guidance as well as adhere to environmental standards to slow the spread of COVID-19.
