Partnership with ComForCare

Avamere Court at Keizer, a senior living and skilled nursing community in Keizer, Oregon, has partnered with local home care affiliate agency, ComForCare. The agency assists seniors to age in place. They wanted to educate and show their seniors the benefits of home care and offer it as an option for them. Below is a contribution from ComForCare and their in-home caregiving service.

In-Home Caregiving

Most seniors want to age in place. According to AARP, 90% of those 65 and over want to stay in their residence for as long as possible and 80% think their current residence is where they will always be.

However, to stay at home, older adults often require assistance with everyday activities from bathing and going to the bathroom to running errands and preparing meals. Family and friends can often chip in, but sometimes they are not available, they live far away, or it is more than they can juggle. That’s where home care comes in.

Avamere Court at Keizer has partnered with ComForCare to help residents stay independent and not be required to move to the next level of care for minimal needs.

In-home caregiving allows people to live independently in their own apartment and continue to do all the things they love.
