Grand opening ceremony takes place on December 7, 2016 from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM. The Honorable Marilyn Strickland, Mayor of Tacoma, will give a commemoration speech. The Avamere Family of Companies will celebrate the grand opening of its latest transitional care facility – Avamere Transitional Care of Puget Sound; located at 630 S Pearl Street, Tacoma, WA 98465. The 39,936 square foot short-term, post-acute health care center will provide patients recovering from illness or injury with intensive skilled nursing and rehabilitation services. National Nurse Practitioner Week is held annually to celebrate these exceptional health care providers. It is also a national week full of advocacy, public awareness and community outreach on the role of Nurse Practitioners (NPs) and how consumers can seek NPs for quality patient-centered care.
