I would be remiss if I didn’t write this letter of thanks to the dedicated caregivers of the staff of Avamere Rehabilitation of King City, for their help and care given to me through my latest ordeal. I especially wish to thank staff, management, aides, nurses, therapists and all others for their kindness. If the world had more people like you it would be a much better place. I’m happy that I chose to continue my rehabilitation therapy here rather than returning to home.
When my husband was having to relocate to a nursing home that took VA Contracts, I looked long and hard to hopefully find one where he would be treated properly. I did my own walk through several times before I even mentioned to the staff I was looking to see what kind of facility they had. I wanted to get a feel for what it was like and see the staff at work without knowing anyone was coming in, before speaking to them. I was impressed. The residents were happy, looked well cared for, no one was out there sitting in wheelchairs looking as if they were desperate for the first person who came along to help them. The staff was happily going about their work, interacting with the residents, and each other. Nothing seemed canny or put on at all.
