The American Health Care Association recognized Salem Transitional Care for quality care as part of the Quality Initiative Recognition Program. The community was also honored in 2020, named Best Nursing Home for long-term care by U.S. News and World Report.

"My mother is a currently residing at Salem Transitional Care. The facility is very welcoming, and the rooms are very nice. My mother was in bed and unable to re-position herself due to a recent stroke. I stepped out in the hall and asked for help from a couple of the staff - I believe a therapist and aide. They took the time to reposition her, several trips in and out of the room with more pillows and blankets to aid them. They were thoughtful and took great care to make sure she was comfortable.
