Sometimes all a person needs to appreciate a full and independent life is a little assistance with routine daily activities. Other times, substantial personal care is required. Our goal at Laurelhurst Village Assisted Living community is to help our residents achieve maximum independence, while supplying excellent social, physical and emotional support.
Assisted Living promotes independence by encouraging residents to maintain their lifestyle and dignity while providing the security of knowing that someone is always nearby to help. Our Assisted Living programs take a “we’re there when you need us” approach. We encourage our Assisted Living residents to live their lives the way they want — with all the freedom, activities and privacy they can manage and desire.

At Laurelhurst Village we don’t just treat the problem, we treat the person. Our medical professionals are trained to care for the often complex needs of the residents we serve. For each resident, we will set goals and provide the treatment, therapy, and support needed to meet those goals. Our nurses and therapists provide routine comprehensive assessments of each resident in order to establish goals and individualized holistic treatment plans. These goals and plans are a joint effort between our medical professionals, residents, and family members.
Our teams have the abilities to treat and meet the needs of residents who are dealing with stroke effects, joint replacement/repair, wound issues, IV Therapy and cardiac events just to name a few. Key to the treatment of these issues is the licensed nursing staff which is available 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Our physical, occupational, and speech therapists are available 6 days a week and on an as needed basis to help our residents gain as much independence as possible during their stay.
Most residents who come to our skilled nursing and rehabilitation centers will eventually go home or to a lower level of care. Prior to discharge, our team will help prepare each resident to return home or to another living setting. We consider each resident’s successful discharge our success, and we work very hard to help our residents achieve their goals and reach the highest level of independence and quality of life. In some cases, residents may need a long term stay to fully recover or have their ongoing needs met. Long term stays can also be accommodated if necessary. At each of our care levels – skilled nursing, intermediate care or rehabilitation – our compassionate caring professionals are ready to meet the needs of each resident we serve.

Laurelhurst Village is proud of the gains our residents make with our comprehensive rehabilitation approach. We are committed to the latest and most advanced technologies and treatment modalities available. Our goal is to treat our residents and patients in the best possible way so they can maximize their highest level of independence.
Therapy services are available seven days a week to meet your rehabilitation needs. Our clinicians have extensive experience and expertise. We specialize in the treatment of a variety of orthopedic conditions, neurological diagnoses and medically complex patients. Individual appointment times can be arranged in our department to best meet your needs.
The newly remodeled therapy gym space has a private speech language pathology office for cognitive, language and dysphasia training. Our occupational therapists have a full kitchen, shower, and bathroom for training of activities of daily living. Our open gym space provides excellent access to our exercise equipment and modalities (ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and short wave diathermy) to help you during your recovery period. Our treatment programs are designed around our patient’s needs and goals.
